October 19th is National Psoriatic Arthritis Day (National PsA Day) in Canada. This is the 4th year we acknowledge this special day. We have applied to illuminate several landmarks across Canada in PsA colors.  Keep an eye out on this page for updated landmarks!

 

Psoriatic arthritis is a spondyloarthritic condition and an invisible illness for many Canadians.

  • Between 5-10% of people with psoriasis develop Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)
  • Psoriatic Arthritis is prevalant in 133 out of every 100,000 Canadians.

Illuminated Landmarks


Alberta

  • Calgary:  The Calgary Tower will illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.
  • Edmonton:  The High Level bridge will illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.
  • Lethbridge: Lethbridge City Hall will illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.

BC

  • Victoria :  The BC Legislative Buildings will illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.
  • Vancouver: the Vancouver Convention Cente, the Sails of Light at Canada Place  and Science World will all be illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.

Newfoundland

  • St. John’s:  St. John’s City Hall will illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.

Nova Scotia

  • Halifax :  Halifax City Hall will illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.

Ontario

  • Niagara Falls: The Horseshoe Falls will be illuminated in purple and orange  at 10:15 for a period of 15 minutes, to bring awareness to National PsA Day. (watch live here).  The Peace Bridge will also be illuminated.
  • Ottawa:  The Ottawa Sign will be illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.
  • Toronto :  The CN Tower will be illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.

Québec

  • Montreal:   The Parc Olympic Tower will be illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.

Saskatchewan

  • Saskatoon:   The Prairie Wind Monument will be illuminated in purple and orange to bring awareness to National PsA Day.
